Important Safety Information

Compounded medications
Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. The FDA does not verify the safety, effectiveness, or quality of compounded drugs. A licensed provider determines whether a patient-specific compounded treatment is appropriate.
GLP-1 weight-management treatments
Thyroid C-cell tumor warning: GLP-1 medicines caused thyroid C-cell tumors in animal studies. It is unknown whether this occurs in people. Do not use if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid carcinoma or if you have Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2.
Serious risks may include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, low blood sugar, kidney injury from dehydration, severe stomach problems, allergic reactions, and vision changes. Common effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal pain. Do not use during pregnancy. Tell your provider if pregnant, planning pregnancy, breastfeeding, or taking diabetes medicines.
PDE5 inhibitors: sildenafil, tadalafil, and vardenafil
Do not take PDE5 inhibitors with nitrates or “poppers.” The combination can dangerously lower blood pressure. Tell your provider about heart disease, stroke, blood-pressure problems, eye or hearing conditions, kidney or liver disease, bleeding disorders, and all medicines.
Common effects can include headache, flushing, indigestion, nasal congestion, dizziness, back pain, or vision changes. Seek emergency care for chest pain, fainting, sudden vision or hearing loss, or an erection lasting more than four hours.
Apomorphine-containing treatment
Apomorphine may cause nausea, vomiting, dizziness, sleepiness, fainting, or low blood pressure. Alcohol and other medicines may worsen these effects. Tell your provider about heart rhythm problems and medicines for nausea, blood pressure, mood, or Parkinson’s disease.
